Whilst most commercial growers run uninterrupted irrigation cycles, we recommend that you give your plants a chance to breathe and rest by running 30 mins of each hour of daylight only. On such a cycle your plants will not dry out, and the risk of root-rot and other diseases can be further reduced without the need for commercial-style constant water monitoring. Running this way helps to keep maintenance right down and also reduces power consumption to around just 0.3 watts!
