Hessian Skirts

Suitable for all Vertical Horizon towers that come with a black bucket reservoir.  Whilst these look great, they actually perform several useful functions.

  - Provides protection from slugs

  - Shades the bucket from the sun, maximising oxygen capacity of the water, boosting            growth and health.  (Oxygen carrying capacity starts to reduce when water is above 23        degrees centigrade.)

  - Provides UV protection for bucket and lid, increasing the life of the bucket and lid.

  - Did we mention that they look great?!

Comes with an elasticated drawstring for easy expansion to lower around sides of bucket for water changes. 

Made from durable hessian fabric, sewn with polyester thread for long life in harsh environments.

Notes on use:-

Designed with a gap to the main tower column, allowing any water that may escape the tower to return safely to the bucket.  Bucket lid should always be pressed down around tower when lid is re-fitted, with a gap between the tower and skirt to ensure that no water can wick through skirt to floor.  Carefully fitted, this is a practical and beautiful addition to any tower.
